Moline Lutherans and Catholics celebrated the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation October 14th & 15th!

Four ELCA Lutheran congregations and three Roman Catholic Parishes of Moline celebrated the Reformation. Our celebration included Habitat Service Projects on Saturday morning and education, worship and dinner late Sundayafternoon. It will be a festive twenty-four hours.

On Sunday, October 15th at 4:00 p.m. there was an educational event at St. Mary’s, 412 10th Street, Moline.  The educational event featured the Reverend Dr. Lowell Almen, co-chair of the Lutheran-Catholic Dialogue for the United States and Father Make Schaab, retired Roman Catholic priest and professor.  At 5:15 we processed from St. Mary’s to First Lutheran, 1230 5th Ave. Moline.  A combined worship followed the procession at  5:45 and there was a dinner at 6:15 p.m.
