Ministry Minute –  Thanks to Bill Lootens and Gerry Schmidt for taking care of some bits and drips on Trinity’s property this week.

Disaster Support—July 30th the Graham family (Trinity members) lost their home and belongings to a fire. Praise God that they escaped unharmed. Please keep them in your prayers as they move forward. There is an envelope in your bulletin to use if you would like to help them monetarily.

Save the Date!—Sunday, August, 26th at 2:00 p.m. is WELCA’s general meeting. Barbara Zuwala will give inspiration as she shares her experiences.

“God’s work. Our hands.” This weekend the ELCA volunteers nation wide. Saturday, September 8th, Trinity will be helping the Riverbend Foodbank package food that will go home with school children on Fridays so they have food to eat at home over the weekend.  Volunteers of all ages are welcome. You will need closed-toe shoes and will also need to register ahead of time. Our shift will be from 1:00—3:00 p.m. Riverbend Food Bank is located at 4010 Kimmel Dr. in Davenport. Fall Festival—Join us for a combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. on September 9th and stay for an old-fashioned church potluck. A main course will be provided, please bring a dish to pass. We will have games and fellowship. Our neighbors are invited and we hope you bring some friends!  If you’d like to volunteer, please contact Amy Roehrs, aroehrs@tlcmoline.org

Help Wanted!—Volunteers to offer a smile and listening ear to Trinity’s hospitalized members. If you can spare as little as an hour or two, one day a month your time would be greatly appreciated. Volunteers can sign up solo or with a friend. Contact Mary Jane for details or to let her know you are interested.

Vespers —Sundays through August at 7:00 p.m. at the Jenny Lind Chapel in Andover.

Confirmation classes resume in September.  If you have a child entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade, please call the church office with questions or to let us know that they will be attending.

Drinks in Sanctuary—Trinity does allow members to bring their coffee or other non-alcoholic refreshments into worship. All cups must have lids and we ask that you take it with you as you exit.

Planning an event at Trinity?—Things are getting a little busy around the church as fall programming begins. If you or your team are planning a meeting or event at the church, please contact the church office and reserve your room, date and time.

A Way Forward RENEWs—Throughout June there were informational sessions sharing where the team is now. Don’t worry if you missed them. You can check out the bulletin board across from Tillberg Lounge with some of the details and stay tuned for additional informational sessions that will happen into the fall.  This exciting plan looks to focus on the following areas: Reach out with ministries that appeal to younger members and families with children; Enrich and connect our congregation; New solutions for communication; Expertise – develop and hire needed resources; Welcome and invite; grow personal connections. Input and assistance is needed from all members and we look forward to the exciting RENEW opportunities ahead.
