Donate or Dish Potluck—Sunday, November 19th at 11:00 a.m. You and all of the Trinity family are welcome to join us for a potluck in Founders Hall. Sunday, November 19th will be a special time. On this day when we celebrate Trinity’s continued ministry, we will have one Sunday service at 10:00 a.m., followed by an All Church Potluck at 11:00 a.m. Please either make a donation or bring along a food dish to share, as a part of our response to God. Beverages, table service and a meat dish are provided. Please make plans to join us!

Share Your Blessings—Sunday, November 19th at 4:00 p.m. Join us to make gifts to share over the holidays. Discover hidden talents or share your skill as we make tie blankets, dog & cat treats, and Christmas cards to deliver with our cookies at Christmas. Bring your family and your friends! Everyone is welcome!

Blood Drive—Attention: blood donors – please do not give blood after October 9th so you will be eligible to donate for our winter drive Monday, December 4th. Look for a sign up sheet soon.

Ministry Minute—A thank you to the members of Trinity’s Congregational Council, who do so much behind the scenes!

Free Concert—Sunday, November 26th The Quad City Singers invite you to enjoy Christmas music at 4:00 p.m. in Trinity’s sanctuary. A free will offering will be collected. Proceeds will be divided between Trinity’s Choir and the QC Singers scholarship fund.

LWR Quilters—Tuesday November 28th at 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Room. Everyone is welcome. Donations of fabric remnants are requested.

Foot Clinic—Tuesday, November 28th. Appointments available from 9:00—12:00. Please contact Nurse Mary Jane to reserve a time.

Conversations with the Bishop—As we move toward REvitalizing, REforming and REnewing, Bishop Jeff Clements and the synod staff invite you to an evening of conversation. We want to hear what you’re experiencing right now and with what you are experimenting. The guided conversation will allow congregations of each conference to hear more of what others are doing, too. ALL are invited – young and old; rostered ministers and congregational members; long-term members and brand-new members.  You are invited to join us Tuesday, November 28th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline for a light supper at 6:15 p.m. and conversation following.

Advent Worship—Wednesdays, December 6th, 13th, & 20th Fear Not! Trinity’s confirmands reflect on the angels’ command during worship at 6:30 p.m.

 

Advent Wreath—Families are invited to light the Advent wreath during Sunday worship services. Please contact Jan Peterson(309-269-9632) or the office if you are interested.

 

Donations Needed—There is a group of migrant workers coming into the Williamsburg, Iowa area in January, and they will need winter coats of all sizes, hats and mittens/gloves.  Many of these families will be coming from warm weather climates.  People may drop off the items to Family Resources: 2800 Eastern Avenue; Davenport, IA 52803; Contact person Maria Romaro, phone number 563-468-2385 or Riverside United Methodist Church 712-16th St. Moline, IL between the hours of 10am and 2pm M-F; contact information: Jozett McCoy 309-764-6721 or serverumc@mediacombb.net.

 

The next meeting of the Trinity Endowment Committee will be on Thursday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.  All grant requests for this quarterly meeting need to be submitted to the church office two weeks prior to our meeting or by November 30th. 

 

Community Book Discussion—Mondays, November 20th, 27th and December 4th, 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in the Wilson Faculty Center. Free appetizers and drinks will be served at 4:00 p.m. Each week the group will discuss a chapter of Radical Lutherans, Lutheran Radicals, ed. Jason Mahn (Cascade, 2017), so reading in advance is suggested. Discussions will be led by the book’s editor and co-author, Jason Mahn.  Books can be purchased on Amazon or in the Augustana College Bookstore. Reservations are requested by emailing conniehuntley@augustana.edu.

Flu Shot Clinic—There will not be a flu shot clinic at Trinity this year. Please go to your doctor or pharmacy to get your flu shot.
